It is with great sadness to hear that our lovely friend Joyce Woods has passed away this morning 16th November 2024.
Joyce was a lifelong supporter of The Wire and a founder member of Warrington Wolves Supporters Trust & Squadbuilder. Joyce was an invaluable member of Squadbuilder, serving as minute secretary for many years and was the expert at organising raffles for events.
Joyce also supported the testimonials of several players including Mike Wainwright, Chris Bridge and Bennie Westwood.
Joyce always stood on the same spot in the South Stand and regularly attended away games. She also travelled extensively to support England RL.
Joyce loved her Wire boys and was especially proud of our Homegrown players.
As a primary school teacher at Stockton Heath Primary School, Miss Woods is remembered by so many pupils.
Joyce was such a lovely lady and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
