Warrington Wolves Supporters’ Trust are pleased to announce that Isaac Holdsworth has been named as the Scholarship Player of the Year for 2024.
Isaac was presented with the Paul Darbyshire Memorial Trophy by Lyndsay and Jack Darbyshire at the Warrington Wolves Scholarship Presentation Evening at the Village Hotel.
Paul Darbyshire was a former Wigan St Pat’s player who made his debut for Warrington Wolves in March 1989 and played for the club until 1997, making 106 appearances and scoring 60 points. He also kicked a goal in the 1990 Challenge Cup Final defeat to Wigan at Wembley. In all, Paul spent 18 years at the club as a player, then later in a coaching and conditioning capacity. In 2007 Paul became the Head of Strength and Conditioning at Munster Rugby Union. Paul passed away in June 2011 aged 41 after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
