The aim of Warrington Wolves Supporters’ Trust – Squadbuilder (WWST) is to support the development, coaching and promotion of young rugby league players at all levels. This includes aiding local Community Clubs, schools and the Scholarship and Academy players at Warrington Wolves progress through to  professional Wolves players.

Squadbuilder has donated over £210,000 since it’s inception in 2002 by supporting the Wolves Youth Development team,  the Wolves Charitable Foundation Community team and Community Clubs funding projects for the training and education of players and coaches and the donation of equipment. We donated £4000 to the junior sections of the 7 Community Clubs and the Wolves girls teams during the recent Covid pandemic.

It’s our mission to have as many HOME-GROWN players at the club as possible. We are so proud of all 12 of our current Academy graduates in the Warrington Wolves first team squad for 2022 but especially Mike Cooper, Ben Currie, Joe Philbin and Toby King who are not only first team regulars but International players too. It’s so good to see the steady progress of Josh Thewlis, Riley Dean, Ellis Robson and local boys Ellis Longstaff and Connor Wrench. The 2022 first team squad also include Jacob Gannon, Morgan Burgess and Tom Whitehead. There is a whole crop of players coming through who featured in the 2022 pre-season game against Salford including Jake Thewlis, Jack Darbyshire, Leon Hayes and Aiden Doolan. The future is bright, the future is primrose and blue under the guidance of coaches Gary Chambers, Tyrone McCarthy and Richard Marshall and their support staff.
